BEYOND THE WAVES
draws the portrait of TARO YAMAMOTO : an atypical young Japanese senator who used to be a popular actor. Through his story we also discover the image of contemporary Japan. A country marching towards nationalism, xenophobia and rearmament. A subjective Japan seen through the eyes of a rebel who goes against the flow.
